After browsing selections, guests move to the back of the counter, where, with professional guidance and assistance, they try to compose their final scent.
The entire process takes approximately 60-90 minutes, beginning with choosing from 24 base scents, such as tea as the main note, with lighter scents suitable for Taiwan's hot and humid "Floating" climate. Next, one selects 1 to 4 notes from 40 scent ingredients for the top, middle and base notes, including lemon, Buddha's hand citron, iris, sandalwood, Humble Plant, star anise, opoponax, water peach, clove, thyme and licorice. All fine details—formulations, quantities, creators, dates and water names—are recorded.
