If the name of this little bar seems impossible to pronounce, that's because it stands for "if you know, you know". Owner Jenny Wu says it expresses her desire to help her customers better know drinking, eating, fun and life. She launched IYKYK about 18 months ago as a unique "day drinking club" that opens and closes earlier than most bars and offers a daytime option for travelers and residents looking for a spot to chill out and enjoy a regularly changing selection of craft beers, natural wines and other alcohol, plus some snacks.
Located on a quiet street about 100 meters from ZhongMing Road, the cozy premises includes a few outside seats with some plants and a six-person bar inside, where a variety of creative T-shirts, cups, socks, keychains, bags, lighters and stickers designed by Jenny and illustrator friends are also displayed for sale. The hip-feeling atmosphere includes posters from regular natural wine tasting events she holds at outside restaurants and various vinyl records that customers can sift through for playing on a turntable. DJ events are occasionally hosted here, too. Be sure and also check out the restroom with its very psychedelic lighting.
With a regularly-changing alcoholic selection, there is no drinks menu but Jenny is happy to introduce choices among about 6-7 Old World and New World natural wines (NT$350-450/glass),
Located on ZhongYi Street in West District, this natural wine bar curated by Jenny Wu offers a unique drinking experience. The venue regularly hosts DJ sets and wine tastings, featuring an impressive selection of natural wines from around the world (NT$350-450/glass) and sparkling wines (NT$1-2,000/bottle).
The drink menu showcases Taiwanese and Japanese plum wines, millet and other wines, sake, and craft beers from reputable breweries like Coronado, Mikkeller, Sudden Death, Hop Nation and Boneyard, with a focus on IPAs. Non-alcoholic options include soda, a Suntory Beer & Nordic Honey Ale mix (NT$350), and Taiwanese tea liqueurs.
