“Vendering happiness” is the slogan owners Darren Lim and Summer Chen chose for this unique cocktail bar, hidden on the Art Museum Parkway behind a door that appears to be a vending machine. The two met in Darren’s hometown of Singapore and decided to combine their food-and-beverage experience and open this place. The classy interior includes a low bar where you can observe the skills of regular bartenders “Shao Hei” and Jean, or Summer, whose gin and rum cocktail creations respectively won two world cocktail championships sponsored by Gin Mare and St. James Rum. There are also sofas, tables, and a cozy upstairs private room behind a secret door. After being welcomed with a complimentary Singapore Sling shot, flip open Vender’s truly special menu of proprietary specialty cocktails (NT$350-450)—a wooden box whose folding doors open to reveal a list of six cocktails (all ending in “vender”) on each side, with 12 corresponding cubby holes with samples of the key ingredients, either dried or in small bottles. Left side cocktails are better for beginners with refreshing, lighter flavors and less alcohol, while right side options are spicier, heavier and stronger. Each also has flavor profiles graded with 1-5 stars.

老闆Darren Lim與Summer Chen以「散播快樂」，作為這間特殊調酒吧的語錄。位在美術園道附近，有趣的是酒吧藏在一台販賣機後面，當初2人在新加坡家鄉遇見後決定一起在此重現往日的美食與飲品。古雅的裝潢包含一處低矮的酒吧，調酒師 Shao Hei、Jean或Summer在此調酒，而她也贏得地中海琴酒與聖詹姆士蘭姆酒所贊助的調酒比賽兩屆冠軍，座位分沙發區與桌椅區，樓上隱密的門後也有舒適的包廂。享用店家招待的新加坡司令，我打開了以木盒子呈現的特別調酒單，裡面至少6款特調(名稱皆有’販’字)價位為350-450元。另有12個小格子提供乾燥或在小瓶子內的調酒主要原料。酒單左側的調酒較適合初級者，口味較為清淡；右側則口味濃烈，兩側口感皆以1~5顆星評分。右側酒單其中一款是盆栽販賣機，以巴西蘭姆酒、美祿、甘草與義大利苦艾酒，整體呈現甘甜滋味。一旁的雪茄販賣機則是以黑蘭姆酒、香料紅葡萄、丁香、八角、肉豆蔻、蛋白、巧克力苦精與透明盒子內的檜木煙燻呈現。Summer獲獎的冷湯販賣機以地中海調酒搭配番茄汁、紅洋蔥、莳蘿與一些鬼椒苦精和橄欖油呈現西班牙冷湯的口感。你也能要求調酒師為你調製一杯個人化調酒(400元)，其他飲品只有威士忌與販賣機內的臺虎啤酒(150元)。餐點靈感取於新加坡與馬來西亞佳餚的肉骨茶、XO醬蘿蔔糕(150元)、辣椒蟹肉(300元)、咖椰吐司、措炒麵與其他亞洲和西式點心。
