Business is so good at this eatery that other restaurant and food stall owners try to capitalize on its name. However, the Li family here repeatedly emphasizes that they have not opened any branches elsewhere in Taiwan. So, if you want to eat authentic Li Family Dumplings you need to come to Bei Ping Road. The Li family has been selling steamed dumplings for 15 years. They insist on following traditional methods in the preparation of the dumplings, with no additives and hand-made flour skin. Recently, the Li family introduced shrimp dumplings which are sure to be a hit. In addition to dumplings, there are noodles and stir-fried dishes, ranging in price from NT$50 to NT$140. Among this large selection, Cantonese-style fried rice is one of the most popular. Noodle dishes range in price from NT$50 to NT$80 and include stewed noodles and mushu fried noodles. The mushu fried noodles are based on a northern Chinese dish and include strips of egg and mushrooms.
