Yan Tea changes the preconception of 24-hour teahouses as loud, crowded, unsophisticated places. It is spacious, quiet and tastefully decorated with rustic wood tables and chairs, as well as carved wooden partitions. One of the most unique and popular items on its menu is the taro root milk tea (NT$40), which is milk tea thickened into a frappe using fresh taro. The food menu includes a series of very spicy dishes (NT$50 to NT$80), as well as seven kinds of sui mai (Cantonese-style snacks, NT$50 each). The Korean-style kimchee seafood hot pot (NT$150) is made with imported Korean kimchee. Cocktails are also available (NT$100 to NT$120). During the grand opening period, drinks are half-price.
