April Chiu originally studied architecture but started making bagels and selling them online about two years ago, driven by a desire to offer a softer bagel preferred by Taiwanese. In July, she opened this relaxing, spacious-feeling, simply decorated cafe, with soothing light colors and wooden furniture.
Her selection of 6-7 brunch bagel sandwiches (NT$95-120)–with 3-4 new options added every three months–feature various flavored cream cheese bases that she creates and other ingredients, with either an egg or granola/honey topped yogurt on the side.
Extra bacon, sausage, yogurt and other orders are an added NT$20-30. Best sellers are Country Garlic, Store Manager’s Blueberry, and Pesto Forest, filled with pesto-flavored cream cheese, bacon and tomato.
Other bagel sandwiches include Apple Cinnamon, Garlic Party, and Taro and Meat Floss; plain bagels are also available for sale. Desserts include the Luco Cinnamon Roll (NT$120), reduced-sugar Brownie (NT$100) and Mini Bagels (NT$110 for 11) for kids. For drinks, there are Coffees (NT$110-120), lattes, teas and sparkling drinks (NT$170-180).
