Touted as the most iconic industry exhibition of its kind in Asia, Taichung Bike Week will take place September 16 to 19. Recognized as the bicycle industry’s most important trade gathering, the event is designed specifically for mid-to high-end component OEM manufacturers, complete bicycle product managers, and traders, serving as a B2B trade show where the industry negotiates specifications for next year’s new models. With its unique format, the event also provides buyers and suppliers with the best face-to-face networking platform.
Unlike traditional exhibitions, this year’s Taichung Bike Week will take place at The Splendor Hotel Taichung, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung and Tempus Hotel Taichung and is expected to attract more than a thousand local and international buyers for business negotiations and collaboration.
Looking ahead: A new Taichung landmark for conventions, exhibitions
Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen and her city government team have been actively promoting their “Front Shop, Back Factory” economic policy to drive international upgrades within local industries. Once the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center officially opens at the end of the year, the supervisory Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) intends to invite bicycle manufacturers from around the world to leverage both the exhibition center and the city’s “green lung”—Taichung Central Park—to promote an international, healthy industry event that integrates green exhibitions, eco-friendly spaces, and sustainability concepts.
Looking towards the future, Taichung is poised to become a globally recognized bicycle city, attracting more international brands and enthusiasts, enhancing industry visibility and brand competitiveness, and positioning itself as a key hub for the bike industry.
2025 Sustainable Green Living × Wheels Ride Festival × Taichung Bicycle Carnival
In addition to professional trade events, Taichung City Government is dedicated to creating a fully bicycle-friendly environment and promoting cycling culture, linking the bicycle industry with sports and leisure activities.
2025 Sustainable Green Living: During Taichung Bike Week, a “Personal Carbon Ledger” will be launched alongside the “Let’s All Ride!” city cycling travel app, inviting international visitors to experience the beauty of urban cycling in Taichung. Travelers can easily explore nearby attractions, industry story halls and local shopping districts by following the app’s suggested routes. Along the way, they can accumulate personal carbon-reduction calories and mileage-based carbon credits that can be redeemed for products.
2025 Wheels Ride Festival: Taking place on Oct. 19, this event welcomes those who wish to test bicycle performance, push their own physical limits or simply enjoy Taichung’s natural and cultural scenery. Register and experience the exhilarating fusion of speed and breathtaking views.
2025 Taichung Bicycle Carnival: Kicking off on Nov. 1 at the Dong-Feng Bicycle Trail, this event integrates the “Let’s All Ride” city cycling travel app to promote low-carbon urban transportation. Participants can explore Taichung via 23 themed cycling routes covering mountain, coastal, rural and urban areas. The final stop at Houli Horse Ranch will feature performances, markets and exhibitions.
